Who this applies to
This policy describes how the Sevenra iOS app ("Sevenra", "the app", "we") handles your information. It applies to everyone who uses the app.
What data the app uses
To compute recovery, set up your profile, estimate running fitness, and build an adaptive training plan, Sevenra reads data you have already recorded in Apple Health, with your permission. This may include:
- Workouts (runs — distance, duration, heart rate, and step count during runs)
- Your run route (shown on the run's map and elevation chart, and used to check GPS quality and estimate hill grade — displayed straight from Apple Health when you open a run; the route path and elevation curve are never copied into Sevenra's database, though a derived elevation-gain total is stored on-device alongside your other run analytics)
- Heart rate, resting heart rate, and post-workout heart-rate recovery
- Heart rate variability (HRV)
- Sleep, sleeping wrist temperature, and respiratory rate
- VO₂max and body mass
- Date of birth (used only to derive age; the original birth date is not copied into Sevenra's database)
Sevenra only reads from Apple Health. It does not save anything to Apple Health, and does not edit or delete health data created by other apps or devices.
Where your data is stored
Apple Health remains the source of truth on your device. Sevenra stores only minimized derived results, plan/coaching state, and explicit runner inputs — such as your daily recovery score, training-load figures, your training plan, and compact post-run review facts such as match status and comparison/Focus Area reason keys — in private databases on your iPhone (Apple's SwiftData). Review prose is derived when shown; diagnostics contain aggregate counts only. Raw Apple Health samples, routes, exact weather, and HealthKit identifiers are not copied into review state or diagnostics, and raw Apple Health samples are never copied out of Apple Health. Post-run comments are stored as runner-authored input and omitted from diagnostics. Reproducible Health-derived data is excluded from application backup. Runner-authored plans, profile, check-ins, coach memory, and training history may be included in your encrypted system device backup so they can survive an OS-managed restore. Sevenra does not upload either database to a developer server or provide an app-specific cloud sync service. AI coaching runs on your device using Apple’s on-device intelligence, or on Sevenra’s own deterministic engine — no coaching request is sent to any server.
Sharing an image
Share Studio is opened only when you choose Share. It combines information already displayed in the run, weekly review, First 5K, or morning-adjustment screen into an image; it does not calculate or retrieve additional workout values. Sevenra adds no route, place, or exact start time to that image. You see the exact rendered image before choosing Save, Copy, or the system share sheet.
If you select a photo, the photo and crop stay only in the open Share Studio session. Sevenra renders new PNG pixels without the source photo's filename, asset identifier, EXIF, GPS, or other metadata. The chosen photo may still visibly show people, places, or personal details. Sevenra does not store the source photo, crop, selected facts, destination, or share history. Save uses Photos add-only access, Copy uses an expiring local-only pasteboard item, and Share passes one temporary PNG to Apple's system activity sheet. Temporary Sevenra files are removed when the Share Studio session ends; abandoned prior-session files are removed when Sevenra next launches.
What we do not do
- No online accounts, logins, or developer-hosted profiles. The Running Fitness Profile is derived and stored locally on your device.
- No servers or cloud database that we operate.
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of your data for advertising or marketing.
- We never use your health data for advertising or marketing, and we never disclose it to third parties for those purposes.
Apple services the app relies on
Sevenra uses Apple's own frameworks, which keep your data within Apple's privacy protections:
- HealthKit — reads the Apple Health data listed above after you grant permission. Sevenra requests no write access and saves nothing to your Apple Health store.
- Core Location — used for weather only: when you ask Sevenra to adjust a workout for local conditions, and when you choose to use your current location for race-day conditions. Both are in-use requests you initiate. Location is not stored, exported, or sent to AI. A run's route comes from Apple Health, recorded by whichever app or device tracked the run; route points are not stored in Sevenra's database or sent to a server.
- WorkoutKit — schedules your upcoming workout to the native Apple Workout app so it appears on your Apple Watch.
- Apple Maps — your health data is processed on your iPhone; Sevenra never uploads it. Showing a run's map loads Apple Maps imagery for that area, governed by Apple's privacy policy. Sevenra operates no map server, and route points are never stored in Sevenra's database.
- StoreKit — processes the optional Sevenra Training subscription through Apple. Sevenra has no account or receipt server and does not receive or store your payment details.
- WeatherKit — after you choose local weather, Sevenra may use approximate location to show current conditions and add weather context to planned runs. It requests conditions from Apple WeatherKit. Location is not stored, exported, or sent to AI. Same-day weather and nearby forecast days may be cached on device so network issues do not block the app, but it is not included in diagnostics, exported, or sent to AI. On Race Day, choosing “Use my current location for race conditions” makes a separate start-time request whose location and weather response remain in memory and are not added to that cache. Apple provides weather data under its own privacy terms.
- On-device AI coaching — where AI coaching features are available, they run entirely on your device using Apple’s on-device intelligence. Nothing about your body or training is sent to Apple, to Sevenra, or to any other server for coaching.
Children
Sevenra is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The app requires no account and Sevenra operates no developer backend.
Your control
- You can grant or revoke the app's access to Apple Health at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Sevenra (or within the Apple Health app).
- Deleting the app removes its local databases. Workouts and routes already recorded in Apple Health remain there and can be managed in the Health app. Encrypted system backups are managed through your Apple device and account settings under Apple's policies.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and post the revised version here.
